Yesterday I had such a lovely day. It started off pretty chilly and dull, but by the time I was off to Uni it was glorious. When I got back, I was in such a good mood, especially after finding out that my sister had a new job after being made redundant! So I decided to take Pepe and Nina out for a walk in the spring sunshine. First day out without a coat too. I couldn't believe it.
I love this photo, we're all actually looking at the camera! Nina has her tongue sticking out, bless her. I am wearing my old 'vintage' polka dot skirt. (I always feel a bit obnoxious calling things vintage when they're just secondhand really. I don't know how old this is though and it was from a 'vintage' shop, so it'll suffice). I don't wear this skirt enough though, I love it. It's navy blue and goes with most things in my wardrobe. Also, it features a fabulous elasticated waistband so is perfect for eating big meals in!
The light was just perfect and the warmth was beautiful. When the weather is lovely like this we take Pepe and Nina on long walks through the fields and park near our house and watch how the season's change. This was it just a month ago.
What is your favourite thing to do in Spring?

spring is my favorite season. I love having picnics in spring! & laying in the grass while watching the clouds go by or listening to the doors, just laying in the grass. I love the warm weather. I love spring.
love, dayna
My favorite thing for spring is gardening! If I could do it all while wearing a skirt as cute as yours, all the better.
ReplyDeleteI learned the hard way last night that although the days have been lovely and warm, the night time has not. Riding home from work I felt like I was freezing up!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photographs, the weather was delicious yesterday, and I love the photo of you & your dogs!
ReplyDeletecute photos. You look lovely. If it came from a vintage shop, then I'd call it a vintage skirt.
ReplyDeletePicnics of course! I like that feeling of the breeze on the back of your legs when you get off the tube :) Dog walking is the best this time of year, it's still so frosty in the morning though!
ReplyDeleteexquisite skirt. it's a statement piece, yet versatile. i too hate calling thrifted things vintage, for all I know it could just be 50's inspired.

ReplyDeletehmmm, favourite thing about spring? that's a hard one. maybe it's that first day when EVERYTHING starts blooming, like somebody flipped a switch and spring decided to just show up.
and yes, the modern romantics are quite brilliant, but there's something much more emotionally insightful in a good old-fashioned romantic work of art. regardless, i love it all :-)
What a lovely blog you have!
ReplyDeleteThank you for looking at mine :) My favourite thing about spring is little flowers on the trees and strawberries and cream, not to mention the new range of clothes to wear :D

ReplyDeleteAnd canned tuna...I don't know what it is about that stuff but I can't think of a grosser food item and I would feel all tainted inside if I knew it was digesting and mulling about in my belly. Icky!
