Haircut!

So today I had a drastic haircut (drastic by my standards anyway haha). I had quite a lot chopped off. It was just becoming too hard to manage and scraggy at the ends and taking too long to dry!

Before...
hair - before

After...
hair - after!

So yes, not too drastic but quite a change! I think it will be good for spring and summer because long hair just makes you too hot and bothered! Maybe next time I should get some shorter layers cut in? I'm never one for any big changes with my hair, the biggest change I ever had was when I had a big, thick, blunt fringe cut in for my school formal (prom), which can be LOL-ed at here. I am on the far left (incase you couldn't tell!). Yes I was quite the 'goth' back in the day. My dress was black velvet with lace detail at the bottom that I scored from Oxfam for a mere £8! Awesomes. But, the fringe didn't suit me because of my stupid cows lick and I have been scared of fringes ever since. What's the most drastic haircut you've ever had?

  2. It looks lovely! I'd definately get some shorter layers cut in next time.

I had a drastic haircut in November, I got loads cut off my hair, it went from chest length to chin length and I felt really naked! It was probably a bit too short, but when it grew a tiny bit it looked a lot better.

  4. oh helen, it looks nice! who cares if it's drastic or not? as long as you're happy with it & you wear it well, that's all that matters. & you most certainly do wear it well :]

  10. In a burst of rebellion when my mum told me I'd regret cutting a fringe (the very fringe I love so dearly now)
I cut my own fringe...but it turned into one of those things where the more you tried to cut it straight...the shorter it got..
Luckily this was during the school holidays a few years back hahaha

    It looks lovely!!!

  12. oh, i LOVE the haircut. i'm way too scared to cut my hair that short (yeah, that's pretty short to me.) i don't think i'd look good with it, but it looks excellent on you! it makes me want to be a risktaker.

does afeitar mean to shave? just curious, i seem to remember it from spanish class.

  14. It looks great! Good hair cut. Got rid of all the scraggly ends totally. And it really suits you :) I've always had my haircuts done in stages. I've probably had a foot chopped off at a few points in my life. I've had waist long hair, and a #5 short, back & sides. My last hair cut I'd been growing my hair a year and had it all chopped into. Had a general 3-4" chopped off, and then up to about 6-8" around the flippy bits. Maybe that one?

  18. You look great! It's a lovely haircut :)

My most drastic haircut might be my last one, because I chopped off a LOT. It went from middle of the back to a short bob. Loved it too.

  19. It looks lovely! When I was about 7 I made the decision to cut my hair short....since then I've always had it very long, it looks awful when it's short and I love having long long hair for when I do a beehive!

  24. thanks for your lovely comment honey :)

ahh, my most drastic haircut was a fringe too - but because i have stupidly thin hair that gets greasy waayyy too quickly, it looked horrible haha. so am I too scared of fringes!

    your hair looks lovely :)
I am in desperate need of a cut - i'm growing it for my prom in june and then i am going to have a very drastic cut, or i may just go bald, as my hair bugs me!!! haha.

    xx

  25. oooh, it looks so good. I've always been one for very drastic haircuts. I get bored easily and often feel the need to hack a great deal of hair off.
Now that I have a pixie cut, however, I don't know how to go shorter.

  26. You're new hair looks great. I've just pretty much the same thing to my hair for the summer. It was quite long before, but it was a hassle to look after, so I got it cut so that its just below my shoulders.

  27. do you miss the length i cut my hair a while ago and i'm loving the short hair but i miss my long hair :(. but yours looks great

  31. I love the cut. It looks very neat and fun. And I definitely LOLed at the prom hair. I've never had a very drastic cut, but I did get green streaks once. That was pretty atrocious.

  32. It looks really pretty!
When I was a kid I had a really short bob cut in, it looked like lego hair as the hairdresser didn't realise how thick it is!

    ReplyDelete
  33. oh I think it's drastic too, but I love it! suits you wonderfully!
I had a fringe too last year, but now I want my hair to grow long and not with many layers.
    have a nice weekend!

  39. The haircut looks lovely!!
My most drastic chop was when I first cut my hair short last year! Never looked back =]

  40. Your hair is gorgeous. I'm so jealous. Mine is a royal mess.

  41. I thinkn it looks fresh and lovely! I like it! Also I feel your pain where the cowslick is concerned, I have one too and a fringe is just impossible to deal with haha. So I gave up on them!

The most drastic haircut I ever had was when the hairdresser cut my layers to like 3 inches long, and made my hair look like a mullet :| awful experience, I ended up having to get hair extensions whilst my hair grew out a bit. Bad times!

  42. awww, cute haircut! Very Alexis Bledel I'd say (If I could spell her name!).

The most drastic thing I ever did with my hair was probably going from blonde highlights to dark brown when I was 17, but more recently I've kept the same style and colour for quite a few years now. Maybe it's time for a chop?

  43. Looks great! Besides, you header is fierce!
