Berry picking
Last Sunday Scott and myself decided to go strawberry picking at our local pick your own farm. We went last year too, if any long term readers remember! We also got a lovely bounty of redcurrants and blackcurrants. I have made jam from the strawberries, sorbet from the blackcurrants and red onion and redcurrant relish from the redcurrants. I love going to pick fruit, it's definitely one of my favourite things to do in the summer, although we did end up covered in nettle stings and juice stains! However, we know where I food has come from and how fresh it is which made up for it. I'm going to go back for the next crop of strawberries in a few weeks too! (Also, thank you to Scott for being a wonderful photographer haha)

Isn't berry picking the greatest? Over here, currants are far less popular (a shame) so we have to settle for plain old strawberries. Love your dress!

I haven't done this for YEARS! It's always felt like one of those things that's fun when you're little, but thats silly, I'm definitely going to try and go again! Your photos are always so beautiful, can't wait to see some of your creations :)

ReplyDeleteLove Grace.
Heehee, I love that you wore that dress, if it's the one I'm thinking of. From New Look? Basically, my friend said that it looked like a dress you would go grape-crushing or berry-picking in. So, very apt. :D
ReplyDeleteI've never been berry picking, but I don't think I can find much of that in L.A!
ReplyDeleteYou look stunning darling.
I love that color on you :)

ReplyDeleteLove your last pic! So pretty:)
ReplyDeleteI went blueberry picking once, it was so much fun! This looks like tons of fun too. I would love to go pick some strawberries or raspberries. Did your dress get ruined? That would be a bummer if it did because it's so cute! The clothes I had on when I went blueberry picking gt blueberry juice all over them.
ReplyDelete...oooh I want to do the same, so wonderful! You have one talented photographer indeed~

Oh yum! I'm holding out for the raspberries, last year I picked so much I made about 10 jars of jam, it was SO amazing!

ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous pics. That color looks fabulous on you!
ReplyDeletePretty, pretty dress and strawberry picking is one of my favorite summertime activities. You look so adorable in these pictures!
ReplyDeleteP.S. The yellow skirt has a lot of weight and structure (it's leather) so it doesn't allow the dress underneath to bunch.
these photos are amazing!
ReplyDeletelvoe your outfits- very flattering!
