Happy halloween everyone! I made these cupcakes for my sister to take into work for her little halloween party (they are quite big fans of my cupcakes now haha). I used my Wilton icing colour gels kit, which I love. It was the first time I'd tried the purple colour out. I've only got the blue, black and ivory to try next (although to be honest I do not know why I would ever need to dye icing ivory?). Aren't these toppers really cute too?! I love the pumpkins, although they look a little bit too friendly to be real halloween jack o lanterns. I'm going to carve a pumpkin tonight with Scott, maybe they will be a bit scarier. What is everyone else doing for halloween? Anyone dressing up as anything fun?

ReplyDeleteToo cute! You did such a lovely job. They look delicious. We don't have any Halloween plans, isn't that awful? Though I am excited to see the little trick or treaters in their costumes---precious!

ReplyDeleteto be honest, i didn't have a certain character in mind for my costume, i just wanted to be a 50s woman ;)
Ooh! They look delicious! I hope your Halloween was marvelous!
ReplyDeleteMine was fun - I dressed up as a Star Trek girl from the 1960s series. Geeky, I know, but so fun to be all mod-ed out, cat-eyes, mini skirt and all!

Oh yum. I would totally love a cupcake right now, too bad I'm too lazy to make some.

Mmm...these look so good!! I want to take these cupcakes right off my computer screen.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute looking cupcakes!
ReplyDeletethese look so much tastier than the gross safeway cupcakes they used to hand out at my class parties!
ReplyDeleteThose are such cute cupcakes!!!
ReplyDeleteThese look deliciously cute!
ReplyDeleteI tried to make your vanilla cupcakes - and oh my, what a disaster. First up, all the cupcakes exploded in the oven, and so ended up mis-shaped and a mess (think I need a muffin tray). Then the icing went runny and try as I may it would not thicken up!
Think I'm going to stick to cookies until I build my confidence back up!
