For some reason I appear to have an infatuation with taking photos at my desk. I guess it's because I spend quite a lot of time there - between writing essays and blogging. On my desk there is nearly always a mug (got to have a cup of tea to keep me going!). Occasionally there are cakes and treats. I always like candles on my desk to make my room seem super cosy when I watch DVDs or iPlayer from my bed. I've also become fond of using my wall above the desk as a make-shift notice board. I keep my calendars, family photos, post it notes, old ticket stubs and pretty photos on my wall. This has grown quite a bit in the past few months hmmm. Some say it's cluttered but I like it. I'm a cancerian so I am a hoarder, and a sentimental hoarder at that, so it comforts me in some way.

ReplyDeleteMy desk tends to be clear apart from the odd notepad. It's more of my bfs desk for doing his architecture work.
Usually I use the laptop on the sofa or bed. x x
i'm a hoarder if i'm making something. but when i'm not, then i'm a minimalist :p

I miss having a desk! Before I moved in with the Mr I had a space just like this, with pretty things stuck on the wall to inspire me and a vase of flowers by my side while I worked. We live in a 2 bed flat but the spare room has become a dumping ground. You've inspired me to sort it - come payday I'm gonna buy a desk and cover it in beautiful things!

ReplyDeleteYour desk inspires me to clean mine up. Mine is all clutter. My personal touches are coffee cups, photos, and a stack of DVDs.
ReplyDeleteI've always been a terrible hoarder, but I'm moving tomorrow and will be making a new, much larger desk out of a door. I want to keep it lovely and spacious like yours! Especially since having such a mess has been keeping me from drawing...

ReplyDeleteI adore your wall! and your mirror, Y would say mine is minimalist, that from time to time, gets really cluttered. I have a mirror too, usually a book, and mugs with pens and pencils, my laptop sits on it once in a while, because I mostly use it in my living room.

Oh, I am such a hoarder! My boyfriend even more so, our little flat is super cluttered but I love it like that. It doesn't count as 'mess' when it's interesting things, it just shows you are not a boring person! Your room is lovely.

i wish i had a desk. i usually write my posts from my kitchen table, which is currently cluttered with the world ark magazine, fake candles, mail, and a record player. but above my table is my art wall, a collage of framed pieces that i am actually pretty proud of. i look to the wall for stability and order.
