Yes, that's right, I am now a 100% fully qualified librarian! It feels honestly amazing to have got through it all. Getting my first degree was really rewarding, but there's something about being qualified to do something that makes it feel even more special. Before today, I always referred to myself in work as 'trainee librarian', but it will feel so awesome to walk into work tomorrow and say 'I'm a librarian now!'. (Plus it also means I'll be able to get a pay rise hehe). Seriously though, I am so so thankful that I managed to figure out what I wanted to do and have been able to do it. I really love being a librarian, and I hope that this is just the start of a wonderful career of dispensing and organising information & knowledge for future generations. (Cheesey I know, but true!)
Congratulations!! I wish I could visit your library and give you my best wishes in person. ;)

Well Done!!! I have always wanted to be a librarian since i was a little girl but I've never been very good at English. I don't know if you would need a good A level or GCSE in English but if you did, my qualifications wouldn't be up to that standard unfortunately. x

ReplyDeleteyes- I'm not sure they are the most logical combination of pets but they seem to be getting on okay. Rats are so sweet you should definitely think about getting a couple, their personalities and intelligence are more on the level of dogs or cats than other small rodents. Plus you get to freak people out when you tell them you have rats!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to keep working in the library you are in, or look for something new? xx
Congratulations! I hope you continue adding style to the title of librarian!
