Lush

Mask of magnaminty

I love Lush. It all started off when I was in first year of Uni. I had a huge long 4 hour gap in between 2 lectures, which often resulted in me trekking into the city centre and purchasing Lush to make myself feel better about not making any friends (the first few months of Uni were so hard for me, I was SO depressed and nearly dropped out at one stage. It was such a big change. Lush baths definitely helped though!). I love Lush because their products felt like such a treat. It's a guilt free indulgence as well as they are eco-friendly and don't test on animals at all. Plus they leave you smelling AMAZING!

It did turn into a rather bad habit at one stage but I still have major love for Lush. When facebook first introduced those 'fan' pages, I became a fan of Lush instantly. I also submitted a few photos of myself looking silly in face masks (I have no shame at all). Then, about 2 months ago, they contacted me asking if they could use one of the photos in the Lush Times! I was so excited, of course I said yes. So here I am, my 15 minutes of fame . In return I got a £10 lush voucher which I spent today and stocked up on some of my favourite things.

1. Mask of Magnaminty

This mask is my favourite ever and it is also the face mask I am wearing in the Lush Times and in the photo above. It is great for my oily skin. Sometimes your skin just feels really grubby and like you need a deep, deep clean and this is the mask for the job. It's minty and lovely and leaves my skin feeling so smooth but not dry at all.

1. Ma Bar

This was one of the very first things that I ever tried from Lush and I still love it. All of the bubble bars are my favourite, but being a chocoholic this one is my all time favourite. Makes my skin so so soft as well.

3. American Cream conditioner

OMG this smells so so good. The smell is so distinctive as well, sometimes I smell it on people when I'm out and about and recognise it instantly. It's a vanillary, strawberry, lavendery smell. Sounds weird but works so well. They also do a solid perfume in this scent and I love it.

4. Snow Fairy

Snow Fairy only comes out at Christmas, but every year I make sure I stock up on enough to last me all year! The smell of it lingers for so long, it's like sweet fruit candy floss. It's ridiculously girly.

Now I am sat here relaxing with my Mask of Magnaminty face mask on, preparing myself for the new working week ahead! The past week has probably been the hardest since working full time, hence the lack of blogging, despite having a day off midweek. I am getting more used to it though and will try to blog a bit more! Going to have lots of Lush baths during the week to unwind as well! What are your favourite Lush products?

  5. I can't stand lush :( I get a headache whenever I walk past the stores, they're a bit too fragrant for me which is a shame because I hear so many good things! That photo of you in the mask is sooo cute!!

  6. I love going into lush but I'm only brave enough to buy the bath bombs! I've tried a couple of the chocolate face masks with a friend, we looked silly & took pictures too!
That minty mask would probably work wonders for my oily skin, I may just give it a try thanks to your recommendation! x

  9. Oh your photo made me laugh Helen :)

With the exception of American Cream which I find just a bit too strong, everything on your list is on my list of favourites too! I also adore Honey I Washed The Kids and Rock Star soap. And, well, anything really.

  11. I love Lush so much! I first discovered them when I was in high school, but there was no Lush shop in Bangladesh, so I would have to stock up during summers in London. I have sooo many favorite products! I love their massage bars (I use them as moisturizers), and American Cream, and their shampoo bars... !

  14. I have never bought anything Lush but I have had fun browsing. I remember once being on lay over in the airport and discovering a Lush store near by. I must have driven the staff crazy by smelling everything and buying nothing.

    Nice 15 minutes of fame!

  15. Congrats on being featured in Lush times! That's so much fun :) I love Lush as well, but I only get to visit whenever I'm somewhere where there is a shop. You're right, it's so fantastic to indulge in their products - you feel so fresh afterwards. I love all of the yummy smelling soaps, masks and whatnot. I had a mask that I bought last year in London which was great for rejuvenating your face, but I cannot remember the name of it anymore.

  17. I had Snow Fairy last year and it smelled soooo good! Oh gosh. And I've always meant to try that mask, I need a really good new one.

My FAVORITE Lush product is by far the cleanser Angels on Bare Skin. It is honestly the only thing that works for my ridiculously sensitive skin! All other cleansers either break me out or dry me out insanely.

  18. Oh God, I love Lush also. Most of my skincare regime is from there. I've never used one of their masks though, & I wonder if their Mask of Magnaminty would work for my combination skin? I always feel so grubby in the face area, I might have to indulge. Their massage bars are nice also ;] congrats on your little fame!

  19. i haven't bought anything in there for a while as its quite expensive. i used to buy the henna, but i've moved to powdered henna now. but my absolute favourite products are olive branch shower gel and ultra bland - i use it for removing tough eye make-up and for when i pluck my eyebrows, i LOVE it!

you look cute even with a face mask on haha!

  20. Lush is amazing! I went to a Lush store the other day and picked something up for my boyfriend's mom. I didn't get anything for myself, but now I'm wishing I did! That's awesome they asked you to be in their newspaper! Thanks for all of the suggestions of things to check out.

  21. Aaaah - I love this photo of you! How fab!

I'm not a huge Lush fan, tend to only get it in gift form. I do love the Snow Fairy shower gel though. American Cream sounds delish! x
