I am so so so besotted with this skirt - I actually thought the other day about how devastated I would be when it finally falls apart. I have had it for 2 years now and wear it so much.
It was such a great bargain from H&M, £7 in the sale! I always do that £ per wear thing and this must be down to pence per wear considering how much I wear it! It is great for work because it is a nice length and has pockets but it's also nice for casual wear because it's so comfy. In the summer it's nice and airy.
Okay, I just realised that these outfits don't really represent how I wear it. I like to wear it with red tights & black shoes for the contrast but apparently when I do do this I never manage to catch an outfit photo. Oh well.
Do you have an item in your wardrobe that you will be devastated to part with? What's your most worn item of clothing?
PS. Thank you for all your lovely comments on my last post! I was worried the majority would find it boring but if it helps at least one person in their career decision then I will be very happy.

it is funny because i like this model of skirts but not all woman are able to wear it. By the way to you is perfect!
ReplyDeleteAbout wearing it with red tights :)
I think my favourite item is a simple black spencer and my gabardine I am not able to stop using it!!! :)
nice post with all your skirt combinations!!!! :D
Now am totally going to repeat what I said on twitter... I have this skirt! I do love it - and you're making me realise I haven't worn it in ages! I love polka dots and red, they just work so well. I normally wear it with a black top, red cardi and red shoes. Maybe I will wear it tomorrow. Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteI have this skirt too, I love it. Can't bring myself to get rid of it though even though I've put weight on and it no longer fits me :( xo
ReplyDeleteI always think that red goes best with balck and white polka dots. I always bust out the red lippie when I wear my polka dot dress. However I think I like the outfit with the green cardigan the best. The colour is gorgeous!

And a lovely skirt it is too!
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is really cute! I wanted to buy one like that but when I managed to have time to go to H&M it was sold out :( You look really lovely tho and I love to see that skirt with red shoes!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of £ per wear - such a good way of assessing, er justifying ;-)a purchase! It is a fab skirt!
ReplyDeleteit looks lovely with the blue cardi. I have a purple cardi that I wear with everything and it's getting a little bobbly now and it's not going to last much longer :(
ReplyDeleteWow, you do wear it a lot! But it always look so pretty :) You can't beat a polka dot print! xx
ReplyDeleteThis skirt is great and I would undoubtedly wear red tights with it;)
ReplyDeleteKarolina
I love that skirt it's so cute and you can wear it a heap of ways (style wise) not suggesting as a top or something haha
ReplyDeleteIt's so bad I don't even know what I wear a lot any more, I have got rid of some much and trying to wear everything I have so I don't know.
The skirt is BEAUTIFUL! Totally up my street as a self-confessed polka dot addict! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a great skirt for re-mixing! :) I have a similar one in black that I wear at least once a week...I keep finding new "favorites" lately though!

This skirt looks very versatile! My favourite item is also from H&M. It's a high waisted denim skirt and it goes with EVERYTHING. I need to start making more of these investment buys!x
ReplyDeleteno wonder you love this skirt, the dots are just fab!! love it with all those different coloured cardis =) i had a beloved bag that feel apart and made me very sad =(
ReplyDeleteBow Dream Nation xx
cute outfit! xx
ReplyDeleteI think even I'll be devastated if this skirt ever falls apart, I love it so much! We will protect & preserve it, haha.
ReplyDeleteI'd be most devastated if my green checked shirt fell to bits. I've had it since 2008 & even though it was £28, I've probably got the cost per wear down to pence already as I literally wear it about once a fortnight. I love it so much, it suits me so well & it goes with everything - & I guess it's come to be known as a signature piece for me as whenever I wear it, friends always tell me how much they love it.
It truly is a fabulous skirt. I love polka dots as well!
ReplyDeleteThis skirt is so incredibly cute! And I like how you always seem to pair it with bright primary colors.
ReplyDeleteoh I have this skirt and it has lasted me a fair bit of time too! xxx
ReplyDeleteI love that skirt! I just bought a polka dot skirt from H&M too, only €10 and the last one left, I <as so happy :)
ReplyDeleteI really like your style, when I don't know what to wear I take a look at your outfit photos for inspiration :)
i tend to wear the cheapest items loads, and my most expensive splurges hardly ever - so my cost per wear is pretty skewed!
ReplyDeletefollow & holler if you love vintage:

Such a beautiful skirt! I always love how you wear colour in your outfits, weird as that sounds haha (: I'll be heartbroken when my Zara skirt wears out, etc.! xo
ReplyDeleteI've got an A-Line skirt from Gap, which got when I was 14, in the back of my closet. I've worn it so much it's see through in parts. ;P
ReplyDeletethat skirt looks so cute on you and its perfect for being a cute librarian lol love your blog. definitely following. hope you do the same

I love it! I'm looking for more skirts like that one, actually. I really like how you've worn it as well.
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is so cute- it really suits you :) I'm not much of a skirt person myself because I hate my legs (even in stockings) but I do wear jeans a lot. I have one pair that have lasted me absolutely ages and I can't imagine parting with them. It's funny how clothes become an extension of your personality!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely skirt! Plus pockets = brilliant. My favourite item of clothing is a green and black vintage dress. Even though it's polyester I love the shape, but it's been through the wash a lot and I've hemmed it a couple of times. Everytime I wear it I cross my fingers that it doesn't fall apart.
ReplyDeleteI love the skirt. I like how you've paired it with bright colours on top, I usually end up wearing all black and white outfits and it's a bit boring I guess.
ReplyDeleteI love how you style the skirt, I am generally really clueless with them but you have it down to a fine art!
ReplyDeleteIt really is such a pretty skirt! And I love all the ways you've worn it!
ReplyDeleteI have a short black Zara dress which has frill detailing at the sleeves and down the front, and I absolutely LOVE it. I mainly wear it with purple tights and a fuscia leopard print cardi, and I will be absolutely devastated when it falls apart. (Weirdly, it's a size XS, when I'm a 10/12. Today I tried on a medium dress in there and it was too tight! That kind of makes me like it more.)
ReplyDeleteThat is such a gorgeous skirt! It looks like the perfect 'goes with everything' option that you don't even have to think about.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite item at the moment is the perfect breton top which I got from Gap about a month ago. It just goes so well with all my skirts I'd be really upset if I had to part with it.
What a lovely skirt you have, and the combinations even lovelier. :-) I especially like the colour mixes with yellow!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a lovely skirt, I love the polka dots :) My floral Tesco dress is sadly falling apart but it is so pretty and easy that I am determined to just keep patching it until I can't fix it, I love it so much and it was £7/£8! :)

Oh my gosh, I have so many things that I'll cry over when they eventually fall apart. My favorite green lace dress got a hole in it a few weeks ago after being worn a billion times, and I was so sad. :( I'll fall into a deep depression when my favorite boots start to go, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun skirt! i love the colorful cardigans you wear it with.
ReplyDeletei will be sad to part with my burnt orange '70s men sweater. i wear it with just about anything.
Ahhh I love this skirt. It looks so comfy!
ReplyDeleteIt is so pretty!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this skirt! It's adorable :) As is your blog, I'm now following.
ReplyDeletexx
Ooh, I've got that skirt but with pink polka-dots! As you've shown, it's such a versatile piece. Great taste ;) x
ReplyDeleteall I think when I see it is - I need more skirts :)
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely pretty and I think it's so "you"!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the skirt! It's absolutely gorgeous, I may need to hunt one down on ebay :D thank you for the inspiration! x
