Mustard yellow

Mustard yellow is one of my favourite colours, right after pillar box red and royal blue. It helps that they all go quite well together too! Hence I couldn't resist this dress in the Topshop sale.

Sunday Sunday

I love the little crochet collar on it, it feels so 60s. It's also super super comfy. I imagine it will bobble rather easily but I only paid £18 for it so it won't be the end of the world. I wore it with my loafers I previously posted about (can't get them off my feet at the moment!) and my trusty Topshop peter pan collar jacket. I have a great fondness of all things mustard yellow. It all began with a mustard coloured cardigan purchased in 2006 which can be seen here. Also note the 2 yellow handbags! I am also currently lusting over a lot of mustard items for A/W, which I will share later this week. I always love mustard but even more so in the Autumn for some reason.

What are you favourite autumnal colours? I know we're not in autumn yet but this weather feels like we are!

  1. I LOVE that dress. I saw it in the sale, too, but my size wasn't there :( I totally would have picked it up, too, had I the chance!
    Yellow looks great on you.

  3. You look really beautifully in mustard, and that dress was a bargain! The rich color and pretty collar make it look much more expensive than it was!

My favorite autumnal color is orange. From deep rusty shades to lighter corals. I think my love affair with the color orange is much like yours with mustard. ;)

  5. Oh that's lovely. D'you know, I don't think I own anything that's mustard. Not quite sure it works with my skin tone. I prefer lighter shades of yellow.

  6. I love mustard yellow too, especially for fall (though it is 100 degrees here right now and fall seems so very far away!)

  8. I love that colour, I haven't stopped wearing my yellow H&M cardy since I bought it last week. I especially love it paired with a breton stripe dress :-) We just need the weather to match the bright colour now!

  11. I wish we were having autumnal weather here. (Having trouble controlling my jealousy.) It's scorching and swampy in my part of the world. I envy you truly! Also, love your mustard dress and that jacket is the perfect compliment to it:)
