This post is a small ode to mustard. I love mustard and I am so pleased that it seems to be one of the big colours for this autumn. I especially love the dalmation jumper from topshop in the polyvore set above. How cute is it?! It can be friends with my Hobbs dog jumper. Some people hate yellow, my sister being one of them. I used to hate it but then I bought a yellow cardigan from Topshop in 2006 and have been smitten ever since. Alas that cardigan is no more (I lost it one day walking through Liverpool *sobs*) but I have made up for it by buying everything else in mustard. It HAS to be mustard yellow though, not lemon or normal yellow. Only mustard will do. (The irony of all this is that I actually dislike the taste of mustard unless it is watered down in sauces. Ha!)

What's your favourite colour for this autumn?

  3. I'm only just getting into mustard, i've now got two mustard knits and I love them. It's very bold and that's what made me doubt it would suit me.

  4. I love mustard too. I have a mustard yellow cardigan that I perhaps wear a little too often (a friend recently asked me if I have any other cardigans). Loving some of the mustard items in your blog post, tempted to shop now.

  6. I’m loving the mustard trend. It’s still summer in Greece but I have already bought a mustard cardigan, a peter-pan collar mustard shirt and I’m on the hunt for mustard color pants!!!

  13. I love that stachel! sooooo cute! I'm not normally a yellow/mustard/lemon person as I'm blonde so I tend to look like a lemon but that bag is cute enough to tempt me to the bright side! x

  19. I love that yellow bag! I used to have a red handbag which I loved but swapped to black and it just isn't the same. Definitely not a black handbag girl. Yellow is such a happy colour, I really want a yellow kitchenaid.

  22. Oh I'm the opposite of you then. I love all the other shades of yellow but mustard does nothing for me whatsoever. I just can't warm to it as a colour. All the more for you then!

  24. I'm so glad mustard is starting to pop up everywhere now! That dalmation jumper is so cute, and I'll be watching it until it goes on sale at the end of the season. Burnt orange is my other favorite color for autumn. I have about a billion burnt orange things now, but I can't stop buying more!

  26. You have great taste in colour- mustard yellow is a fabulous hue... there's something about it that is really retro and quirky (but I hate fluro yellow- yuck!). Sad to hear about your beloved cardigan- I have a gorgeous red cardigan that I simply cannot wear anymore because it's well and truely threadbare- so dissapointing :( Apart from mustards and browns, I'm really loving champagne pink and emerald green (although not together)

  30. I love the strap shoes!

When I read your post I had this memory of a mustard coloured bunny hug(hooded sweatshirt)that I wore to death in elementary school. My favorite was how the colour paired with the light brown colour on the straps of my back pack:)xx

  32. A lady on my course today was wearing a just-above-knee length mustard yellow skirt today that had flower on it. Loved it so much & it made me think of you! I always associate bright primary colours with you, & you make me want to fill my wardrobe full of red, blue & yellow.
