Sefton park in the snow

This is the first time it's snowed since we've lived here and I have been dying for it to snow so we could go for a lovely snowy stroll. Snow is only good when you don't have anywhere important to be and unfortunately this weekend wasn't one of those free weekends. I was in work all day on Friday and drove home very slowly in the snow and ice. I promptly fell asleep before 8pm as my first week in my new job had exhausted me so much. Saturday morning I woke up and was so eager to go and explore the park in the snow. I woke Scott up with the bribe of a brunch on Lark Lane and off we went. The park looked beautiful, the lake was half frozen and the paths quite icy. There were quite a few kids with sledges and people walking dogs, but it was quieter than usual.

After our walk and breakfast (or second breakfast in my case! I always have to eat first thing) we went into town for a meeting at the wedding venue and I did a spot of shopping for new work clothes. I got some lovely things from the Next petite section. I'll try to share them soon.

I am hoping that the snow goes away really, I went for a run in it today and feel like I've sprained my ankle slightly. I think I will have to stick to gym runs until it's all gone! When will Spring be here again?

  2. Lovely photos! I also have to eat breakfast when I get up--usually within thirty minutes after getting out of bed--or I start getting nauseous and grumpy. I LOVE your lipstick!

  4. Oooh I love this, I love how you always coordinate colours and ear muffs, yes! <3

Thanks for your comment btw, it was freezing (Legs were fine though with all the layering). I did have a coat and a fur collar in some of the pics, but took it off for better view of details! The pics were taken RIGHT outside my back door too, haha if you saw us taking the pics really, it was a rush ;)

  6. I love that lipstick, I've been after russian red for a while but there's no Mac counter where I live. Sefton Park looks lovely in the snow. Looks like you got just enough snow for a nice walk, it was like Day After Tomorrow in Stoke on Friday ;)

  9. It looks so pretty! I lvoe your photos, and your red lipstick!

It's definitely treacherous though, and I've decided not to run until it's gone I think which is a shame. Hopefully We'll be able to make up for missed outdoor runs by the weekend though!

  15. So cute that you guys match with your scarves and coats. :) I agree that snow is only good when you don't have to shovel it or drive in it...unfortunately, now that we've bought a house and moved 20 minutes outside the city (and have a car), we have to do both!
